New Journal of Global Health

It looks like Columbia University is creating a new journal of Global Health (URL here: http://www.ghjournal.org/). It claims that it will be more solutions oriented. There is a call for submissions to the first edition right now. I will be interested to see what the themes will break down to be. What strikes me about Global Health is that the field work is done in 'silos' -- by disease. Of course this is often driven by funding sources. Polio-interested money drives polio campaigns regardless of other contextual problems which might be more urgent. And I'm not picking on Polio campaigns, just using that as an example.
